Do you want meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives?
Welcome to the municipality that is far from average!
Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.
The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, high school, and adapted primary and secondary education. We have over 3,200 employees at 45 preschools, 22 primary schools, and four high schools. There is a strong commitment here to ensure that all children and students receive high-quality education, the opportunity to develop, and to reach their full potential. In Botkyrka, we see that success in school is the key to a good life and the strongest protective factor for the future.
The Position and Responsibilities
We are looking for an engaged teacher for instruction in painting and bodywork for our automotive program.
The role includes mentorship. You will teach both in our national programs and in our introductory programs, as well as potentially adult education (VUX) students. You will be part of a work team and participate in the team's collective efforts.
As a teacher, you are filled with pride and joy at being a part of your students' lives and learning. Your commitment extends beyond the classroom walls, and you always strive to create good relationships with both students and parents.
You believe in a low-arousal approach and that each individual needs to be met based on their own conditions. Therefore, collaboration skills and a solution-focused attitude are crucial for you in your work.
You are curious and have strong digital skills that you are eager to share with your students and colleagues. You are also interested in school development and collegial learning and believe in developing ourselves as a school together.
With your professional skills, you are well-equipped to meet students with different needs and challenges. You have experience with vocational programs and believe in providing your students with practical and relevant education that prepares them for working life.
In summary, you are a passionate and experienced teacher who is dedicated to your students' learning and development. You are open to new ideas and always ready to learn more.
We Offer You
At Skyttbrinks Gymnasium, there are currently about 220 students. In our beautiful, newly renovated facilities in a rural environment, we provide education within the programs Construction and Civil Engineering, Child and Recreation, Social Science Program with a special pedagogical profile, and Vehicle and Transport with associated introductory programs. In addition to these programs, we also have IMA and a special teaching group for students who have had problematic school attendance in primary school and therefore have not qualified for a national high school program, as well as a special teaching group for students with general language impairment.
At the school, there is a well-functioning program team consisting of a total of 22 dedicated educators who, when describing their workplace, say: "A lot of joy and high ceilings where we are all helpful and share knowledge with each other." We have a well-developed student health service with a school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, and study and career counselor.
With good results and attractive education, Skyttbrink is in an expansive phase. You will be part of an engaged and positive program team where collegial cooperation and learning are a given.
Who You Are
